Improve your Forehand - Inside Out Forehand

Inside-out forehand (also known as run round backhand) is a weapon that any tennis player should master in the game of tennis.  This skill requires fast footwork and a strong forehand hitting the ball on the rise.

When moving to hit the shot, the first step is crucial. Immediately get your body sideways to the net by bringing your right behind your left (left foot behind for lefties). Now you can literally run backwards by backpedaling toward the ball and setting up for the shot after planting your back foot.

Most people get into position by shuffling with side steps which not only slows you down, but leaves you with more work to do once you get the ball. By running backward, you'll be ready in plenty of time and can explode into shot, leaving you in  good position to recover for the next ball.

The forehand is a very powerful shot because most of the palm of the dominant hand is behind the grip. Since the forehand stroke is normally use in rally, it is commonly developed into a weapon to control and win the points.
